Glen ASHBY (AUS) continues where he left off in the New Zealand Nationals, and now leads the World Championship by three points from fellow Australian Brad COLLETT.
It is much closer than at the New Zealand Nationals though and all the top three have so far won race, with Ashby just coming out on top with two wins, and no result lower than third at this stage.
A further six Australians crowd the top ten, proving to be a dominant force in the single-handed catamaran class at this year’s World Championship. The first non-Australian is Murray PHILPOTT (NZL) in seventh position.
The championship has now completed four races and a further five are planned over the next few days. A discard comes into play after six races. The event finishes on Tuesday next week with a final race and the event prizegiving. Full results are available on the event website at the address below.
