The final day of the Dubai International Sailing Week held at the Dubai International Marine Club yesterday came to an end with Justin ONVLEE clinching the Laser 4.7 Class with a lead of 34 points against Bahrain's Charlie HILL.

The final day of the Dubai International Sailing Week held at the Dubai International Marine Club yesterday came to an end with Justin ONVLEE clinching the Laser 4.7 Class with a lead of 34 points against Bahrain’s Charlie HILL.

Egypt’s Dina RAMADAN maintained her first position for the fifth consecutive day taking the female title with an overall standing of 117 points followed by UAE’s Shamsa DASMAL in second place with 206 points and UAE’s Valerianne NICOLAU in third position with 257 points.

In the Optimists Junior’s category, Egypt’s Zeyab ESSAM El BOKL took the first position with an overall standing of 281 points followed by Dutch Kevin PEET with 391 points. UAE’s Frederick JACOBS took third place with an overall standing of 435 points.

On the 5th day of sailing, in the Laser 4.7 category UAE’s Adel KHALID finished first with Dina RAMADAN in second place closely followed by South African teenager Aaron LARKENS.
