The first day of the Fireball Worlds 2004 was due to start at 13.00 today but due to very little wind we were put into postponement.
At approximately 13.55 the Race Committee sent the boats to shore.
There was still no wind and at 16.00 racing was abandoned for the day.
The forecast for Sunday 4 January looks much more favourable with increasing winds and slightly lower temps than the 37c experienced today.
With 97 entries from 9 countries, when racing does get underway, it is going to be an interesting Championship.
