In Australia, the programme over the rest of December and early January is full, with numerous national and international Championships taking place.
Whilst the Rolex Sydney Hobart is renowned as the pinnacle event with which to close one year and open the next, in the small boat scene it is Sail Melbourne which is the event to watch. The opening ISAF Graded Event of 2004, Sail Melbourne draws many of the world’s best Olymipc Class sailors to contest this top level event. The first ISAF Grade 1 event of the year, it brings valuable ranking points to the top sailors.
