Final Report
The regional games of the Indian Ocean Islands finished yesterday on the paradise of Mauritius and was dominated in the four classes by the Seychelles, whose Olympic Class sailor, Alan JULIE, in the Laser class, was utterly impressive.
The regional games of the Indian Ocean Islands finished yesterday on the paradise of Mauritius and was dominated in the four classes by the Seychelles, whose Olympic Class sailor, Alan JULIE, in the Laser class, was utterly impressive.
Winning every race but two, and discarding a second and a DSQ, Julie won by thirty points from fellow countryman Rodney GOVINDEN. With a similar performance in the Girls fleet of the Laser, Solenne BRAIN was victorious for the Reunion Islands. Behind her in the silver medal position was Stephanie LE JUGE from Mauritius.
In the Windsurfer Discipline, using the Mistral One-Design, it was the same two countries dominating the front of the fleet in the male and female categories.
