Seychelles Looking Good For Medals
Otherwise known as the Jeux des isles de l'Ocean Indien, this Regional Games is currently underway in Maurtius.

Sailing has been on the sports programme for several editions of this important Games, but this is the first time a sailing event of this size has been held in Mauritius.
ISAF has supported the games, with the appointment of a Technical Delegate, Paul Bastard (FRA), who has assisted the Organising Committee in the planning and preparation, and is of course in Mauritus for the duration of the Games. ISAF appoints Technical Delegates to all Regional Games, and provides financial support towards the TD’s attendance to those Games where the Organising Committee requires financial support. It is ISAF’s aim that through the involvement of the Technical Delegate, as well as ensuring an excellent event, that a legacy is left to the sport of sailing in the country, such as via the experience gained by locals, improved infrastructure and facilities for the sport of sailing.
The sailing regatta is being contested in six events:
Single-handed Dinghy Men – Laser
Single-handed Dinghy Women – Laser
Windsurfer Men – IMCO One Design
Windsurfer Women – IMCO One Design
Windsurfer Men – Formula Windsurf
Windsurfer Women – Formula Windsurf
