The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club is proud to once again host the 2003 Harken International Youth Match Racing Championships.

This ISAF grade 3 event attracts the world’s best youth (under 20) skipper’s and crews as they contest one of the most competitive youth match racing events in the world.

The event will be sailed on the beautiful waters of Pittwater from 3 – 7 December 2003 and 12 teams of three will compete for the title in Elliott 5.9m class keelboats The teams will sail a complete round robin with every team sailing against one another one time. The top 8 placed teams will progress through to a three match repechage/knockout round, the team at the bottom of the ladder after each 3 match decider will be knocked out of the competition. This will continue until their are only two teams remaining. The two remaining teams will then sail a best of five final to decide the winner.

The program will also include the Sydney 38 Twilight Challenge Race. Each team including the coach or team manager will sail a Sydney 38 in a race around Pittwater.
