Day 2 - Grand Soleil Day
The start of the IMS 500 went off with Subaru X-Sport going off the line early, and having to restart; Bribón reached the top with a spectacular tactical display after two small shifts: the first shift on the right and the second one on the left.

The start of the IMS 500 went off with Subaru X-Sport going off the line early, and having to restart; Bribón reached the top with a spectacular tactical display after two small shifts: the first shift on the right and the second one on the left.
When the fleet got to the windward mark, Bribón was in the lead, followed by Subaru X-Sport seconds after, thanks to useful right hand shift as the boat was stuck out on that side of the course. Caixa Galicia sailed round in third position, quite a distance behind but ready to catch up.
Caixa Galicia as well as Subaru X-Sport started their particular fight at the end of the course. But finally, and after some time, first place was given to Subaru X-Sport, Baleária finished second, and Bribón third.
From the beginning in the IMS 600, Italtel escaped from the rest of the fleet with an unusual lead, passing the first buoy with a lead of more than a minute before Husa Hoteles, followed by Jazztel. These three boats were so separated from the rest of the fleet that, the remainder of the race was but a battle between them, Wind finished fourth and World Cargo, fifth.
At 15.50 hours took place the start of the second race of the day for the IMS 500, with a steady wind of 195 at 8 knots. Bribón, Azur de Puig and Caixa Galicia started OCS, having to start again.
Subaru X-Sport sailed away and controlling the rest of the fleet, well behind it. Balearia reached the top places in over the race. After sailing 10.3 miles in the third race, Subaru X-Sport won the race, followed by Caixa Galicia and Balearia, third.
In IMS 600, a general call was signalled at the start. Zurich won the race, followed by the Italtel and the Forum Filatélico.
