Two more races were sailed yesterday at the 2003 Vaurien World Championships with Jesus and Miguel AMALIACH (ESP) extending their lead to 23 points.

Javier SERRANO and Rosa FORURIA (ESP) have moved up to second place after claiming first place in race 8 and taking sixth in race 8.

The fight for the women’s title is still being led by Olatz MUNOZ and Jaione AYASTUI from Spain who have moved up to seventh place overall having improved their form to finish in the top ten of the last three races. The first junior and the first non-Spanish team is Hidde-Jan and Mark HAVEN from the Netherlands who have moved up one place to sixth overall, despite finishing in 40 in race 7.
