However, despite this result the Danish boat still managed to capture their 5th gold medal. Behind them in the fifty-two boat fleet, in second place on a 17 point scoreline and taking the Silver medal was Mats Victorin (SWE), with a significant 9 point gap before the Bronze medal placing Peter Bolvig from Denmark.
Another warm Norwegian summer day allowed only one race Friday, and Flemming Fjord could watch the other boats compete knowing he already had won the Gold.
