The First Round of the Skiff.TV Grand Prix concluded yesterday in the beautiful city of Cannes, currently gearing itself up for the film festival. In true form the best race was saved until last.
The 12 crews competing in this first round of the regatta series were faced with light breezes as they arrived at the venue for Fridays qualification, and that became the order of the weekend.
Going into the final race, Morgan LARSON and Adam KOCH (USA) held a one point lead over second placed Michael HESTBEK and Dennis ANDERSEN (DEN) and as the breeze filled in for the final race it was Dalton BERGAN and Zach MAXAM (USA) who took the bullet, followed by LARSON and KOCH. HESTBEK and ANDERSEN finished in fourth, which gave the title to LARSON.
The next leg of the Skiff.tv circuit will see sailors travel to the European skiff dream location of Lake Garda in Italy from 15-18 May.
