Breezy Penultimate Day
Yesterday, day three on Lake Lugano in Switzerland, the wind changed to north and completely changed the scene for Competitors in the first Laser Europa Cup Event: 5 - 7 bft, gusting more, allowed for two spectacular races.

The heavy weights had their day and there are substantial changes in the overall results, especially in the top ten of the Standards. Anders Nyholm (DEN), is now leading with 4 points over the former leader Tobias Schadewaldt (GER). Alexander Nikolaev (RUS), jumped from 7 to 3, and Patrick Fleischhacker (SUI), improved his rank 14 of Saturday to rank 5.
In the Radials, it remains the Croats’ game, with Marko Matic, leading with 2 points over Keir Clarke (GBR), and Daniel Mihelic (CRO).
The 4.7 rankings remain unchanged. Ive Bojan, CRO, added his 6th win and leads with 9 points over Karlo Mlikota, CRO and with 14 points Ivo Matic, CRO.
Two more races will be sailed today, 7 April, most probably again under the same heavy north wind conditions.
