Sport Administration Manual Now Available on the ISAF Website

ISAF is delighted to have gained permission from the IOC/Olympic Solidarity to publish the Sport Administration Manual on the ISAF website. Available in English, French and Spanish the Manual provides comprehensive information on sports administration.

Until now, the Manual has only been available as a paper copy, or via the IOC intranet service only available to NOC’s.

The Manual includes sections on:

– Olympic Background;

– Issues such as Women in Sport, challenges facing Developing Countries;

– Values and Ethics in Sport;

– Administration including Constitution of a National Sports Organization, Budget and Money Management;

– Management including working with volunteers, sources of revenue, problem solving, decision making;

– Programs including organizing an event, developing coaches, developing top level athletes, talent identification, Olympic team selection;

– Organizing an Olympic Games Mission.

The manual contains lots of excellent information and is set out in a user-friendly manner.
