ISAF Succumbs to the Slammer

ISAF would like to apologise to all visitors to this website on Friday and Saturday for the reduction in your level of service from www.sailing.org.

Friday morning saw our webserver attacked by a particularly effective performance degrader affectionately known as the “SQL Slammer Worm.” This has been doing the rounds lately and we were unfortunately the latest victim of it’s attack.

The site was down completely until early Saturday evening (GMT) and then ran at a slow pace for a further twelve hours as our ISP sorted the problem out. The site is now completely functional and normal service has been resumed.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
