Final Results

Pippa Wilson and Mari Shepherd (GBR) won the 29er Europeans in Lagos on Saturday to add that accolade to their ISAF World Youth Championship win earlier in the year.

The British pair showed dominant form in the last part of the week to win by an impressive nine points from David Evans and Andrew Skubala (GBR). Third were Stephen Wilson and John Garth (GBR).

On the last day, racing was started in about 8 kts of Southerly breeze with the plan to hold three races. Unfortunately, due to a number of general recalls delaying the program, the final race was not sailed and as such the event only had one discard. Wilson and Shepherd did enough on the last day to consolidate their first position with a thirteenth and a first in the last two races.
