Gold and Silver Fleets in place
The first day of the finals started with waiting once again. But a light north-westerly breeze soon filled in and seemed to increase constantly.

The first day of the finals started with waiting once again. But a light north-westerly breeze soon filled in and seemed to increase constantly.
At 11 o’clock the Race Committee decided to give racing a try. Unfortunately wind was not as good as it could have been and the finals were sarted in a f6rce 1-2 breeze with gusts coming in from both sides of the course. Once again a day for the light wind specialists.
Going into the last day, 43 sailors have been flagged by the jury at least once for rule 42 infringements and 5 sailors are now “RET” for all Races. No wonder after a week with such light winds.
It is hoped today that the “Neusiedlersee-wind” a Force 4-6 will arrive in time for the last two races.
First girl is Angelika Jäger-Stark (AUS) in 25th place overall.
