It was unbelievable, but once more Lake Neusiedl gave the worst conditions: no wind. At 11 o'clock the race committee tried to start the fourth race but after some recalls the wind was totally gone.
It was unbelievable, but once more Lake Neusiedl gave the worst conditions: no wind. At 11 o’clock the race committee tried to start the fourth race but after some recalls the wind was totally gone.
After a short break ashore, races were started at 4 p.m. in up to 3 bft. Two races were finished and won by Paul McMahon (IRL); Bartosz Andrysiak (POL); Morgan Aussel (FRA) and Karol Rosner (POL).
The biggest loss of the day was for Matthias Stepanek (AUT) who has got his third yellow flag and has now got “RET” in every race.
Wind was difficult to sail because of several windshifts and ever-changing wind strength. Sailors finally arrived back in the harbour at 7:30 p.m. and went on directly to free beer and a photo/video show, presenting the highlights of the day.
The night closed with a disco in the clubhouse.
