Although Eric Douglazet led for the majority of Leg Two the light winds at the end shook the expected finishing order up considerably. Audigane and the other top three finishers opted for a route south of the Ile d’Yeu, and it was this tactic that gave him the advantage and the leg win.
It was a great win for Audigane who has completed two Olympic campaigns in a Soling, and is now a regular member of the crew on board the Open 60 Sill Plein Fruit.
