Racing Begins Tommorrow
Racing for the six youth fleets: 29er boys and girls, Laser boys and Byte girls, and Mistral boys and girls, will begin tommorrow.

“This is the first time a world championship has ever been held on the south shore, and we’re very proud,” said Ron Whynacht, Chairman of the Volvo World Youth Sailing Championship. “The phenomenal support that we are receiving from the entire community will make this a great event for all the participants.”
Races start on Saturday, July 20 and continue until Friday, July 26 with two races happening per day. Daily race results will be posted on the web site at www.worldyouthsailingcanada.com A lay day (no racing) is scheduled for Monday, July 22 to allow the sailors, coaches and their families a day to enjoy historic Lunenburg.
The event will officially wrap up with the closing ceremonies on July 26 and the teams will depart on July 27.
