Gold Fleet Decided
Racing continued at the Europe European Championships in Newport, Belgium, with two races sailed in fresh conditions for the women, and one race for the men averaging 18 knots of wind speed.
Racing continued at the Europe European Championships in Newport, Belgium, with two races sailed in fresh conditions for the women, and one race for the men averaging 18 knots of wind speed.
Sari Multala of Finland excelled in the stronger airs, scoring a second and a first place to put her in the lead, with an impressive four firsts out of six races. Whilst in the men Soren Johnsen (DEN) notched up his third win of the championship, to have a lead of one point over Patrick Johansson (DEN) going into the Gold fleet.
The next two days of racing will be tight with only ten points making a difference to whether you finish overall in the teens or the twenties, so there is still all to play for.
For the next two days racing takes place in gold and silver fleets, with racing concluding on Thursday when the European Champions will be decided.
