Great Conditions on Day One
ISAF World Ranked number one Rodion Luca and George Leonchuk (UKR) are leading the 49er World Championship after four races in 15 - 18 knots of wind on day one.
ISAF World Ranked number one Rodion Luca and George Leonchuk (UKR) are leading the 49er World Championship after four races in 15 – 18 knots of wind on day one.
In second position are the British team of Alister Richardson and Peter Greenhalgh, who scored consistently with four top six positions.
In third are the Dutch team of Pieter Lantermans and Pim Nieuwenhuis, on nineteen points, just one point behind Richardson and Greenhalgh (GBR), but there is a long way to go yet in this championship.
Christopher Sundby and Bovim Frode (NOR) were given a six point penalty across their four races for failing to attach five kilogram of corrector weights to the transon bar on their yacht.
