Three races were completed though so that the event was valid for the championship.
Saturday saw strong winds, combined with the low air temperatures (9-11 degrees) and very cold water temperatures from about 7 degrees, there wa almost ice present, made the 3 races very tough for the competitors.
On the Sunday the wind gained even more in strength and the race officers from the 3 courses wisely decided to cancel all races for the day. So all 300+ competitors could leave for their homes safely. With three races completed on the Saturday this was enough for a valid series for the 420, 470, Cadet, Europe, Laser 4.7, Laser, Laser Radial and Optimist classes.
