Prize Money On Offer to Top Crews

The South American Championships kicked off yesterday in Brazil.

The Yacht Club of Rio de Janeiro hosts the Star South Americans in Brazil.

Whilst the Championships predominantly sees Brazilian entries, including Torben Grael and Marcelo Ferreira, Robert Scheit and other top Brazilian sailors, entries are also from Italy, USA and Argentina.

Prize money will be awarded to first place R$ 5,000.00 (US$2500) second place will receive R$ 3,000.00 (US$1350) and third place will receive R$ 2,000.00 (US$900).
