The Inside Track
As the wind backed over the last hours, now coming from the east almost, the yachts to the east sailing the inside track gained most. The only yacht far to the west, News Corp lost heavily.

Lisa McDonald’s crew on Amer Sports One decided for a smart hitch to the east and later gained from the wind shift. The inside track paid for SEB as well, retrieving the miles they have previously lost on Amer Sports One. With the middle of the road approach and good boat speed, Tyco still holds the lead without taking any chances.
With the forecasted southerly change over the next day the yachts are expected to meet real Southern Ocean sailing for the first time.
