Dates set for Athens Paralympics

The 2004 Athens Paralympics will take place on September 17-28, three weeks after the end of the Athens Games.

Some 4,000 athletes from 125 countries are expected to compete in the Paralympics, and it will be the first time they will not have to pay a participation fee. The first Paralympics were held in 1960 in Rome.
