Rocha Wins

Hugo Rocha, the Olympic medallist in Atlanta, won the Portuguese Match Racing Championship in a day of light winds. The Round Robin had finished with Rocha, Cayolla, Marques and Neto going through to the semi-finals.

In the final Hugo Rocha who likes light weather, had great teamwork and better speed and won. Once again the Portuguese Match Racing Championship an ISAF Grade 3 event has proved a popular and well organized regatta. Three days of match racing the sun of Algarve while the rest of Europe shivered in rain seemed a great idea to all the competitors.
