Mc Kee Brothers World Champions
The Mckee (USA) brothers, bronze medallists at the Sydney Olympic Games, are the new World Champions in the 49er class. At the end of two very hard races they managed to get the better of their Spanish opponents Iker Martinez and Xabier Fernandez.

The third position went to the Ukrainians Luka Rodion and Leonchuk George and the Sydney Gold medallist, Thomas Johansson with new crew Jukka Piirainen were placed eighth. This event set a record for the number of boats (155) that were present. Fraglia Vela hopes to be able to organize next year’s 49er and 29er European Championships.
