One Race on Day One

Mark Ploch (USA) is leading the Sonar World Championships after one race on day one. Second is Steve Cucchiaro (USA) and third Peter Galloway (USA).

From the event website : We are all grieved and saddened by the events of Tuesday September 11. The nation and our people are forever changed by this terrorist attack and its implications for the future. Some of us may be affected by losses we are not even aware of yet. We pray for the souls of those lost, and their families.

However, a big part of what makes this country great is that we go on with our lives, even in the face of adversity. Our country has an ability to recover from adversity and to carry on with the traditions and habits that have made the nation strong in the first place.
