First Days Racing

Results from the first days racing at the ISAF Womens Match Racing World Championships taking place on Ledro Lake in Italy. Marie Bjorling (SWE), Katie Spithill (AUS) and Lotte Pedersen (DEN) lead their repsective groups.

Bjorling is currently ranked number one on the ISAF Womens Match Race World Rankings (31 Aug), Spithill is ranked 16 and Pedersen is ranked 5.

Flights started at about 11.30am and ended at about 6.00pm.
Weather was light cloudy in the morning and in the afternoon there was a nice sunshine. Three groups of 5 or 6 competitors were organised with a total of 14 flights.
The wind was blowing from s/e mostly at 1-2 m/s reaching 3 –4 m/s.
