Hestbeck And Terp Snatch Victory

The Danish crew finished every race in the top ten.

Hestbeck is an old campaigner in 49er racing while Rasmus Terp is in only at his second 49er season. They’ve only been sailing together for a couple of months, coming together just after the Sydney Olympic Games 2000.

Hestbeck And Terp were equal on points before the last race with the Spanish Martinez & Fernandez. A capsize in the last race cost the spanish dear and the Danish crew finally won with a total of 28 points.

The second Spanish crew, Lopez-Vasquez & De La Plaza, current World Champions, to take the 3rd overall.
