Record Fleet

According to the Guinness Book of Records, this is the World Record fleet of boats ever to race.

480 Optimists from eleven countries are sailing at Riva del Garda in Italy, taking part in the 19th Easter Meeting. Placed end to end the boats would cover 1.1 km!

The current leader is Patryk Piasecki of Poland, winner of the long-distance race at last year’s Worlds.
