Argentina 1 had little problem in retaining the Team-Racing title at the South American Optimist Championship in Paracas, Peru.
In the round-robin final they had straight victories over Brasil 1, Argentina 2 and Peru 1 who were ranked in that order.
In the COPA DE LAS NACIONES (open to teams from outside the continent and others who did not qualify for the continental championship) Croatia had a predictable unbeaten win. Peru 4 and Mexico 1 took the lesser medals ahead of USA 1 on tie-break.
Individual racing resumes tomorrow for scheduled further four races. Sime Fantela (CRO) leads from Bernardo Luz (BRA).
