Monohull Record Reduced by Three Hours
The Atlantic monohull record from Ambrose light to the Lizard, previously held by Bob Miller's Mari-Cha III has been broken by Bernard Stamm and a crew of three aboard Armor Lux, the Open 60 in which Stamm had hoped to compete in the Vendee Globe.

Armor Lux crossed the Finish line off Lizard Point at 11.34.35 UTC 6/02/01 and has now docked in Falmouth, England.
The new record (subject to ratification) is 8 days, 20 hours and 56 minutes.
