Terms and Conditions

1. This competition is open to competitors at the 2023 Youth World Sailing Championships, Búzios.
2. All information detailing how to enter this competition forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the competitor agrees to abide by these rules. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. To submit an entry, entrants should sign up to the Planet Patrol App and join the ‘World Sailing Youth World Championship in Buzios Litter Challenge’ via this link. Entries must include the entrant’s own name upon sign up followed by their 3-letter country code. We regret that we are unable to accept postal entries.
4. All entries must be received by the advertised closing time and date.
5. Consent to the use of any motion pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproductions of the entrants is inherited from the Notice of Race and Sailing Instructions of the 2023 Youth World Sailing Championships.
6. You represent and warrant to us by entering this competition that your parents/guardians have consented to your entry and the rules included herein.
7. Only one entry per person. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
8. The winning entry will be the highest-placed entry on the Planet Patrol mission leader board. The winning entry will also be a competitor at the 2023 Youth World Sailing Championships. The winner will be notified within 30 days of the closing date of the competition (The closing date is 1500 UTC on Saturday 16 December 2023).
9. The winner of the competition will win Musto item/s to the value of £100 GBP. The prizes are subject to availability.
10. The prizes are those available on the date of publication of these terms. All prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
11. Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
12. Personal data and in particular email addresses will be processed in accordance with World Sailing Data Protection policy and for the avoidance of doubt no data will be shared without express consent of the entrants and images will only be used in accordance with these terms and conditions.
13. English law applies and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts shall prevail.
