Sail Melbourne International 

17 - 21 January 2020 - Olympic and Invited Classes at RBYC

10 -14 January 2020 - Australian Youth Championships incorporating Sail Melbourne International at SSCBC (Youth Classes)

Sail Melbourne is Australia’s premier Olympic and Invited Classes Regatta, held annually in the waters of Port Phillip, Victoria.

Established in 1992, the Sail Melbourne Regatta, now known as 'Sail Melbourne International' (SMI), has become the largest annual ‘Off the Beach’ regatta in the southern hemisphere and is critical to the growth and success of junior and youth sailors, enabling them to race alongside their Olympic heroes. 

This summer, Sail Melbourne International will be held in January 2020 to accomodate the number of World Championships that are being held in Victoria from December 2019 all the way through to March 2020 as part of Melbourne's Summer of Sailing www.summerofsailing.org.au

The Sail Melbourne Regatta, now known as the ‘Sail Melbourne International’ (SMI), will this year be run from 17 - 21 January 2020  for the Olympic and Invited Classes as the inaugural leg of the new Asia Pacific Circuit at RBYC.  This event is a World Sailing 100 point event. 

The Australian Youth Championships will incorporate Sail Melbourne (Youth Classes) from the 10 -14 January, 2020 at SSCBC. 

      
       
       

 

 

 Royal Brighton Yacht Club

Royal Brighton Yacht Club (RYBYC) is proud to be the official host club of Sail Melbourne. With a history said to date back to 1875, RBYC is one of the proudest yacht clubs in Victoria.

Royal Brighton Yacht Club is one of the largest and most recognised yacht clubs in Australia. Boasting fantastic waters to sail in and of the newest and best floating marinas on the Bay, it is the perfect host for Sail Melbourne. 

Royal Brighton Yacht Club will host the following classes: Finn, 470 (Men & Women), 2.4mR, Hansa 303 Single Handed, Hansa 303 Double Handed, Skud 18, Kitefoiling, Glide Windsurfer, RS:X, International 505, Waszp and Tasar.

RBYC is honoured and excited to welcome you to Sail Melbourne 2020. 

Sandringham Yacht Club

As one of Australia's most progressive and awarded yacht clubs, Sandringham Yacht Club (SYC) is a high-qualified host for Sail Melbourne.  SYC has been focused on providing the best world class sporting and event facilities right on the water's edge.

Sandringham Yacht Club's history can be traced back to the Port Phillip Yacht Club, which was originally established in 1903.  With state of the art facilities and one of the oldest burgee on Port Phillip Bay, Sandringham Yacht Club is honoured to host Sail Melbourne 2020.

Sandringham Yacht Club will look after the following classes: Laser (Standard), Laser (Radial) and Laser 4.7.
