Biography

Pavlos is an Olympic Medalist together with Panagiotis Mantis in the 470 category at the RIO2016 Olympic Games, winning the Bronze Medal. At the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021 were ranked in 8th place. He has been ranked #1 in the World Rankings and has won 1 Gold and 2 Silver medals in European Championship and 2 Bronze in World Championships as well as in international competitions and World Cups. He has been a member of the Men's National Team since 2006 as he was also an athlete of the National Team in the youth categories. He was Born in 1984 in Thessaloniki and started sailing in the age of 7 in the then Porto Carras Nautical Club and has passed over the years from the Thessaloniki Sailing Club, Yacht Club of Greece, Vouliagmeni Citizens Nautical Club and today continues his career in Piraeus Sailing Club. Today he competes in the 49er category as well as in offshore races and Match Race. Apart from racing activity, he was a member of Hellenic Olympic Committee as a representative of Athletes from 2017-2021, while today he is a member of the European Olympic Committee representative all European Athletes.
