Rolex Capri Sailing Week/Volcano Race 2013

The third edition of the Rolex Capri Sailing Week Volcano Race concluded with the final prizegiving ceremony today at the docks in Capri's Marina Grande. During the ceremony, the crew of Alexander Schaerer's Caol Ila R (USA) received the week's most coveted prize - the Rolex Trophy and Rolex timepiece - awarded to the overall winner of the event on IRC.

Serena AMATO (ARG)

Serena came into the Olympic Regatta ranked 14th in the world, and after a fairly cautious start moved into serious medal contention after Race 4, and then stayed in the top three positions overall until the end of the series to claim Bronze. This is the first medal won by a female from the South American continent.
