ISAF Rolex World Sailor of the Year Awards1994

The 1994 ISAF World Sailor of the Year Awards were held in on 11 November 1994 in London, Great Britain. The presenter for the evening was Paul Henderson (CAN).

Male Winner - Peter BLAKE (NZL) & Robin KNOX-JOHNSON (GBR)


In recognition of their non-stop circumnavigation in the 92ft catamaran ENZA New Zealand in a record breaking time of 74 days, 22 hours, 17 minutes and 22 seconds.

Female Winner - Theresa ZABELL (ESP)

Theresa ZABELL (ESP)In recognition of her successive and numerous wins during 1994 in the International 470 Class and number one position on the world rankings.


Isabelle Autissier (FRA)Spring Skippering, with a crew of 3, established new non-stop sailing record from New York to San Francisco via Cape Hom (60 foot Jean Berret design)
October Currently leading boat in BOC Challenge


Peter Blake (NZL) and Robin Knox Johnston (GBR)Joint skippers of Enza New Zealand, 92R catamaran, which set new 74 day record non-stop around the world, sailing with crew of six.
