With a 420 background it was natural for them to progress to the 470 and ISAF Sailing World Cup Palma will be their third regatta together following a 23rd at the 50-point Palamos Christmas Race and a ninth at the 50-point Andalusian Olympic Week. "We've been sailing 470 for five months and we are improving a lot but we have a lot more to improve."
Twelve Spanish 470 crews will make up the 69-boat fleet at ISAF Sailing World Cup Palma and the twins put their steady progression down to the teamwork involved, "There are a lot of new Spanish 470 crews and everybody is trying to improve together because teaming up with other boats is the best way to improve."
Whilst the Olympics is their goal, they are realistic in their short and long term aims with the competitiveness of the Men's 470, "Being in the senior fleet it is quite hard to get good results but we will be at the Junior Worlds and Junior Europeans so we hope to do better there.
"It is a long term project, we think we are quite young to go to Rio but one day we expect to go to an Olympic Games."
