Learn to Sail Training Programme

The ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme (LSTP) is a "how to" guide to assist ISAF Member National Authorities (MNAs) in the setting up of a brand new or development of an existing (developing) national learn to sail training programme (NTP).

The ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme can also be used by established MNA's to be a guide by which their programme can run to a standard to be Inspected and accrediated for International Status as having ISAF Recognized Training. This accreditation can sometimes help in opening up doors to more funding from governments and NOC's.

All users of the ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme shall comply with the Terms and Conditions as set out on page 1 of the ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme.

More about the LSTP

ISAF has also developed an ISAF Recognized Training Accreditation System, by which ISAF can accredit MNA National Training Programmes (NTP's). The value of ISAF Accreditation could include increased access to government and/or commercial funding by MNAs and a globally recognized set of training standards for the sport.

Learn to Sail Training Programme Guideline Document

The ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme is a "how to" programme to aid ISAF Member National Authorities (MNAs) in the provision of a generic national learn to sail programme. As a guide of best practice, the ISAF LSTP includes a basic outline of a suggested syllabus and how to deliver it effectively, safety considerations and how to manage a national programme, Dinghy, Catamaran and Windsurfing guidelines and details of reference material which may be useful.
