Olympic Solidarity
Olympic Solidarity is one of the Commissions of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It is the body responsible for managing and administering the share of the television rights of the Olympic Games that is allocated to the National Olympic Committees (NOCs).
The aim of Olympic Solidarity is to organize aid to NOCs recognized by the IOC, in particular those which have the greatest need of it. This aid takes the form of programmes between the IOC and the NOCs, in partnership with the International Sports Federations if necessary.
Olympic Solidarity Programmes include Olympic Scholarships, which assist athletes with the financial challenges of mounting an Olympic campaign, and Technical Courses, to foster the development of top-level coaching worldwide.
