Learn to Sail Training Programme
The ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme is a “how to” guide to assist ISAF Member National Authorities (MNAs) in the setting up of a national learn to sail training programme (NTP).

ISAF does not consider this Programme to be a “one size fits all” approach, but an approach based on existing best practice.

The content of the ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme is primarily targeted at those countries with small training programmes or no current provision who wish to develop but can also be used by established MNA's to be a guide by which their programme can run to a standard to be accrediated as ISAF Recognized Training. Interest in Applications for this recognition should be directed to the Training and Development Manager, who can send out the relevant details.

More about the LSTP
ISAF has also developed an ISAF Accreditation System, by which ISAF can accredit MNA National Training Programmes (NTP's). The value of ISAF Accreditation could include increased access to government and/or commercial funding by MNAs and a globally recognized set of training standards for the sport.

Presentations on the final version of the ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme and the ISAF MNA Inspection / Accreditation System will take place at the ISAF Connect to Sailing Seminar taking place at the ISAF Annual Conference in November in Korea. Sunday 8 November 2009, 14:30-18:00 hours, Grand Ballroom 3. All are welcome to attend.
