After borrowing and lending to the fleet two months ago, the Bank of the Doldrums is open again. Francois Gabart (MACIF) entered overnight and has logically been giving away miles to those behind, the next few days will show whether they will be able to bank them.

Johnny Heineken, the 2012 Kiteboarding Course Racing World Champion, and Jennifer French, the 2012 Paralympic Silver Medalist in the SKUD-18 class, have been named US Sailing's 2012 Rolex Yachtsman and Yachtswoman of the Year.

New Zealand's Peter Burling took gold at the Australian Moth Championships in a competitive fleet at the Wangi RSL Sailing Club, north of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia.
