The ISAF Athlete Participation Programme is delighted to be able to support the Federacion Ecuatoriana de Yachting in sending Angelo TERAN (ECU) to the 2008 Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship. The Athlete Participation Programme will enable Ecuador to compete at the Championship for the first time in over ten years. At 16 years Angelo will able to fully benefit from the coaching available to him through the funding and he can take this knowledge home to Ecuador with him. Ecuador has high hopes for this young sailor and at a time when the countries national sailing programme is fast developing, the opportunity should provide a real boost for all those involved in sailing in Ecuador.

2008 will prove to be a busy year for Angelo but hopefully the experience gained at in Aarhus, Denmark will help in towards the dream of the 2012 London Olympic Games. If you would like to find out more about Angelo, please click on the link above and read his sailor biography.
