Racing Rules of Sailing Information

The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) govern the sport on the water. They are revised and published every four years by the International Sailing Federation.

Current Edition

The current edition, The Racing Rules of Sailing 2009-2012, came into effect on 1 January 2009. Printed copies can be purchased from the ISAF Secretariat using the Publication Order Form.

Appendix BB -- Experimental Kiteboarding Competition Rules	Kiteboarding competition shall be sailed under Appendix B of The Racing Rules of Sailing as changed by this appendix. Note, these kiteboarding rules are evolving. Organizing authorities are urged to download and use the most recent version. The ISAF Racing Rules Committee and the ISAF Windsurfing Committee would appreciate receiving suggestions for improving these kiteboarding rules.
