It was one of those days when you dream of a good log fire and a captivating book but despite the rain and cold, the sailors put on all the warmest gear to start the first races of the 2013 Delta Lloyd regatta.

Lucy Macgregor (GBR) won the St. Quay Women's Match Race on 19 May defeating home nation favourite Julie Bossard (FRA) 3-1 in the final.

There were no Saturday surprises at the St. Quay Women's Match Race, as all four of the crews that dominated the double round-robin also qualified for the semi-finals.
