The ISAF Race Management Clinic was hosted by Yachting Association of India and Tamil Nadu Sailing Association. Local hospitality and coordination was successfully made by commander Ajay Narang and chairman Ashok R. Thakkar as well as Tomasz Chamera (POL) who was the ISAF instructor. The clinic was combined to India International Regatta held in Optimist and 29ers promoting sailing in India.

Total number of 17 persons, representing India attended the clinic. All candidates presented required level of knowledge and practice of national level resulting interesting discussions aiming to develop skills to follow race management philosophy world - wide: consistency, quality and fairness. Most of efforts were addressed on starting procedures, racing itself and post racing tasks related to different type of event.

The clinic was run for developing race officers highly devoted to sailing. The hosts offered reasonable facilities to run the clinic. Accommodation and local hospitality provided excellent conveniences.

On completion of the clinic all candidates presented results and skills required for NRO level. Special thanks to coordinators whose efforts and contributions helped to carry the clinic in a proper level. Next year the race management seminar shall become the next step in developing race officials in India and neighboring countries.
