Canadian Yachting Association sponsored an International Judges Seminar 20 - 22 February 2009 at the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club in Hamilton Ontario. The seminar was organized by Leo Reise IJ-CAN. The instructors were Eon Echave and Pat Healy USA.

Fifteen participants representing three countries attended the three day training covering rules, procedures and judging issues then sat the IJ test.
