London 2012 Paralympic Sailing Competition

Years of hard work for the 80 sailors competing across three classes at the Paralympic Sailing Competition will be on show today as racing begins at 11:00 local time on Portland Harbour.
A westerly 10-15 knot breeze will kick start the day before it gradually goes to the south west throughout the afternoon with fresher conditions.
After practice races yesterday all the sailors are ready to go and the SKUD18 fleet will be the first to hear the starters gun at 11:00 for Race 1. The 2.4mR will follow shortly after at 11:10 with both fleets racing their second at 12:30 and 12:40.
The 14-boat Sonar fleet will start racing no earlier than 14:00 and their second race of the day is scheduled for 15:30.
