The Byte CII Euro Cup, the first regatta to use the new CII rig, will take place from 22 - 26 June on Lake Iseo, north of Milan, ITA.
The event organisers have received entries from Singapore, Australia, Italy, Croatia, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain, France, Denmark and Spain and around 40 boats are expected to compete.
The organising authority is Circolo Nautico Bersaglio and 30 Byte CIIs will be provided for the event by Nautivela. A practice race is scheduled for Tuesday 22 June with ten races scheduled from Wednesday to Saturday and a maximum of three per day. Sunday is a spare day if required.
The Byte Class with the assistance of the boat's designer Ian BRUCE and its manufacturers has been working on the development of the new rig for nearly two years. The intention was to broaden the weight range of sailor capable of handling the boat in heavy air while, at the same time, improving light air performance.
More information about the new rig is available on the class website via the link below.
